Is There a Difference Between Traditional and Holistic Architecture?
In order to achieve a holistic architecture, you need to achieve a visual and tatonic coherence. It's impossible if you have modernist visual elements which try to undo holism and coherence. And putting together with more traditional elements that try to achieve plistic architecture. The two are opposite. They're opposing each other. You will always get a disjointed the whole - trying to tear itself apart. But i have seen more architects begin to use more ornamental elements, even within modern buildings,. er which is encouraging but i don't sense that they really understand why it is their in this way.
