The Third Dysfunction: Lack of Commitment
If you don't have this conflict where everyone gets out their opinions, then nobody's full perspective will be allowed to enter the room. The worst thing ironically is consensus, because that means you haven't heard many viewpoints. You better off getting 10, which are opposing each other. Then you know it's much more likely that you're going to get the most rationally best decision by the end of it. If everyone just nods along to the one person, then you're in a bit of trouble. But really without going through the trust and the conflict first, nobody's really on board with that idea. They might not along, but they're not actually going to take action towards it.
