How to Attract Buyers for Your Film Division
Ed Catmull and Albie Rae Smith are working on a computer animated short film for Lucasfilm. They're told they need to cut costs or risk losing their jobs in the animation division. The pair decide to make some deep cuts, even if it means laying off entire teams. This act of defiance would temporarily halt any layoffs. But Ed and Alvi were acutely aware that the clock was ticking.
