This is the story of Charles Jocken, the unlikliest survivor of the sinking of the Titanic. He was born on August 3, 1879 in Birkenhead, England and started working as a baker at sea when he was 11 years old. By age 22, he's basically like the main baker in these kitchens. And that is the same position he'll have on board a large luxury ship called the Olympic. In 1912, he's offered a job on the company's brand new state of the art luxury ship.
