If a bag has an unusually pungent smell, like Axe body spray, dryer sheets, a strong perfume that might be to hide the owner. Sometimes bags that have broken handles or broken wheels are suspicious because if the bag is very heavy from drugs, muggling the handle or the wheels might break. A failure to pick up luggage. So people will notice that a courier might wait until the very last minute to pick up a bag at baggage claim. They want to see if there are police or anyone else around before they go to get the bag.
