The Importance of the Body in the Christian Faith

Everything in the Christian faith hinges on the miraculous birth of God as an embodied person named Jesus. Ours is an enfleshed story and we have never escaped the temptation to want to un-flesh it. But to do so undermines this story of its power to un-Flesh or to dis-embody the biblical story turns it from a powerful reality into a powerless sentiment.
