The Holocaust Memorial
The Holocaust Memorial occupies a huge area between the US embassy and where Hitler's bunker was. It is an undulating sea of concrete slabs meant, I think, quite clearly to evoke a Jewish cemetery. And there is a sort of feeling of infinity to the number of slabs that remind you of the millions that died. The final design was Peter Eisenman and Richard Serra.
