The Importance of Demonstrating Fiction in Star Trek

T but T and G and TOS I think are both examples of a show that has engagingdemonstrable premise fiction as opposed to lecture based premise fiction. So like Captain Janeway is the the commander of Voyager, a woman is the the lady captain. No character on Voyager ever says, I'm not going to take orders from a lady. And then even Star Trek, the original series tended to have that more demonstrative political position rather than lecture based political position.
