We have grown up with tension around what I refer to as the myth of sameness. And it has blocked our understanding of the interconnectedness and interdependence. We strive so hard to see each other as the same, somehow maintain a structure of systemic othering in doing so. There's something really beautiful in the interconnectedness between each of us.
