What Do You Think Happened to Your Design Project?

I have an example of that from late, literally right now. I had to say to the team, look, i have to shift this project next year. It's stuff like working on our design system, doing boarding stuff for a new timber team member that's joining in january. All this stuff that isn't really easy to scope up front. So it was a combination of me under estimating the amount of time those things needed and also not fully realizing how few workdays there were left in the year.
