Bob Greene: Donald Trump is using the Bob Dole Play. He says Bill Clinton did not go hard at his opponent because he was a lovable guy. That's how to deal with an older vet, who you don't want to patronize and let him do his job well enough that it will be taken care of by younger people in future. The same thing can be done for Biden -- making fun of his cognitive abilities makes them seem like something they can't control or get away with. It's beautiful persuasion; I suppose honesty looks like hate.
