"I was 14 years old. I compete in this skate boarding contest. I do terribly," he says. "And then everyone heads off in their cars and like after their places ... And I'm just twiddling my thumbs." He gets a ride home with Tony Hawk's dad, who ran the National Skateboard Association. The next day he took him to Tony’s house in fallbrook,. got to meet Tony and Ray Underhill and a bunch of other guys. “You're also seeing like rampant amounts of drug use... It wasn't traditional dating and relationships for high school students", she says.
