A lot of what people wrote about information technology, when the internet was either just too new for people to even realize it was there or wasn't around yet. Some of their forecasts were right on target, some of them were way off target but that's the way it is with any sort of futuristic prophecy. You don't know which thing that looked like a dead end is suddenly going to pop up and turn out to be important after all.
