The St. John's Day
In the Middle Ages, there was a saints day for absolutely every day. The Council of Trent cut it back a little bit, but in the 19th century, they were stuffing the calendar with saints days. So we inherited one again that was almost, almost completely saints days. And so many of the saints have significant days. For instance, John the Baptist feast day is the summer solstice, exactly six months away from the birthday of Christ.
