The average human used to live on $1.50 a day in 1850 in the United States, now they live on $50 a day and even adjusting for purchasing power parity or inflation. So often what we're doing is saying the progress narrative is saying for this in-group things got better. And not only did we take this just undeveloped land because it was open, it wasn't. It was many, many advanced ancient civilizations. Some of which had amazing wisdom and beauty. They were savages. And we had to civilize them. We had to build our infrastructure with slavery.
