I kept expecting to see Jessica Rabbit you know at any moment from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The place was dark and smoky. There were red curtains, it felt like Twin Peaks or some kind of American film noir thriller. We got drinks and we waited. Every now and then a man in a tuxedo with a posh British accent would call out numbers and groups of people would disappear out of the room. At one point he called out my number and that's when I had to leave my girlfriend.
