The AMC's Decision to Introduce a Third Party Demand Response Provider

The AMC has received not one but three different rule change requests for relating to this mechanism. The first request was put in by a group of three organisations, the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, Total Environment Centre and the Australia Institute. Subsequently, the Australian Energy Council representing the retail and generation businesses put in their own proposal for a rule change. And then the South Australian Government put in a rule change request which was actually quite supportive of ours.
