The Battle for Voter ID in the Local Elections

Tom Garner heard us talking about the new voter ID requirements for local elections. He got in touch to tell us about his long and lonely one-man protest at the ballot box last Thursday. The historian was shocked to discover that English voters had not been required to produce a formal ID since 1832. "I want everyone to vote, but voter ID rigged democracy," he says.
