Is Nuclear Fusion Really a Science Fiction Movie?

There's this idea we'll be able to produce as much energy from a single glass of seawater as we currently can with a barrel of oil. fusion reactors would use hydrogen or helium as fuel and seawater is loaded with hydrogen. But when it really comes down to the fuel that we would need, you can't just use any hydrogen. It has to be certain isotopes.
