The Importance of Interrogating a Question of Free Will

The idea that we don't have free will is like, can fill you with existential dread. So it's much better to try to answer the question of why it's important. I just feel like free will is a good in itself, intrinsically good. And there's something about being free as opposed to unfree that just strikes me as justBetter, bottom line better.
