The Fed's Decision to End QE Early Could Have Had a Big Impact on the Economy
QE purchases really didn't have much bang for the buck that theyreally weren't making that much difference for the economy. The losses that were now seen on mark to market on bonds so treasuries corporates all the market back securities they're all taking big hits. A study out by a group of academics estimate there's you know close to two trillion dollars of unrealized losses on bank balance sheets and all of that could have been far larger had the fed not done QE sooner.
