The Price of Being Special

Cynthia Stepp: I thought I was special too as a kid. She says she got all kinds of attention and also advantages as a result of that. But in college, her first poetry professor gave her a B plus - which knocked her down to magma. "I needed to learn in some kind of concrete way that actually hurt that I was not that special"
