Francis Bacon is often cited as a key figure in the scientific revolution. For Delia Bacon, reading these plays over 200 years after the fact, Francis Bacon's philosophy was all over them. Samuel Morse told Delia Bacon that her favorite English genius, Francis Bacon, had apparently created a top secret cipher. Mark Twain took it upon himself to crack Bacon's code and eventually published his semi-autobiographical work Is Shakespeare Dead?
