The South American Story of the Tartanosaurs

Tartanosaurs survived right up to the end of the Cretaceous and on a massive scale. It's still a mystery for paleontologists as to how any creature so huge could have functioned. The South American story is ever interesting because it used to be the grand old story I learned in the 70s that the sauropods are these big gray brontosauruses that disappear after the Jurassic. But really, the story continues with the Titanosaurs down in South America and other places.
