A book by Barrett Choles outlines a few of the calculated steps necessary to achieve social re-engineering. You want to rewrite history to discredit nationalism and promote globalism, which subtly supports the idea of oneness or false unity. This is derived from the progressive educational method; you want to encourage loyalty to peers and teachers and not family and churches. It helps to promote consensus or group thinking, which is the antithesis to individuality. Conditioned students to serve a greater whole, which again reduces individuality. And block opposition to the new global paradigm, which protects the status quo.
