Milvernone is a selective phosphodiesterase 3 inhibitor with pharmacological effects, including relaxation of the vascular smooth muscle and enhanced myocardial contractility. And they basically had babies on Milvernone and nitric oxide and measured hemodynamic monitoring at 612 and 24 hours after a Milvernone administration. They assessed 30 infants and were able to enroll only nine infants. Four went into the Milvernone group, five went into the placebo group. There were no differences in the duration of INO, ventilation, or oxygen administration between the two groups.
