The Peter Principle
Incompetence, he observed, was everywhere in hierarchies as people climbed the promotion ladder. The peter principle states very simply that in any hierarchy, an employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence. That's where he stays. Reaching your level of incompetence would induce final placement and sindrome. And then there were the classic symptoms of blaming organization or perhaps even self pity. Clarebas finally, this week we're going back to 19 69 when the world of business was forced to confront some of its own shortcomings after they were illuminated by a harsh satirical light.
