Women in the BBC - What's It Like Now?
When you imagined years ago, the job that you wanted to have was most often the image of a white man. So I think being a woman in the BBC right now is much better than it felt 14 or 15 months ago. The really positive thing that came out of the whole equal pay row was that from the start, we grew into a much bigger group where people were able to share information. It's been incredibly helpful. And when one friend who works in financial services, he said to me, I just don't think there'd be enough like-minded women in my workplace. You can start with just two or three and even that's enough. But I have friends and connections now
