Aristotle says impractical matters look first to the end. So there is a kind of blueprint of the whole end, the ultimate end here. The subcontractors' acts in particular ends are in turn means towards the ultimate end. And the particular ends are actually part of or go towards constructing the ultimate end or overall end.
