Is It Related to the Spirit of Reductionism?

How much of this notion of being fondational is tied up to an intuitive sense of reductionsis this notion that physicists have in their mother's milk? Should we be telling people from an earlier age so that they have greater appreciation for as i as a professional cac mata trist, yes, i think we should. I would not be totally surprised if there are actually new laws of physics which come at the level of microscopicity and complexity or whatever. But even if you accept that, i frankly just do not see why e the study of the microscopic components of a microscopic object is more fundamental than the study of how these interact in subtle ways when they are all put together.
