In Colossians 12, Paul says to please God in every way and then bearing fruit and good work. He describes being strengthened with all power is to have great endurance, to have patience and to joyfully give thanks. In Galatians five, when Paul is listing the fruit of the spirit, he doesn't say fruits. The late Tim Keller said it's like this big knobs on a stereo where some are turned up high or down low.
When the apostle Paul prayed for his Colossian friends, he wasn't just wishing them the best. He was challenging them to live lives worthy of the call Christ had placed on their lives. As a father and husband, you face the same challenge. God wants you to walk worthy of His call and to become all that He has created you to be as a man. Find out more about what it means to live a life worthy of God as a husband and a dad as we dig deeper into the power of Paul's prayer life in Colossians 1.
