The Objection to a Future Fund
Some senators have concerns the bill doesn't do enough. David Poco said you could double the fund from 10 to 20 billion and spend more by removing that $500 million limit. But of course, we could live with a scheme that retained the future fund model but guaranteed $5 billion of spending every year where returns aren't good enough. That way we are people on the who are need of housing can be sure that every year the government is spending real and substantial money on building public and community affordable housing.
