The Gift of Generosity
When you ask someone for help you're asking them to pay with their time. And so maybe that's why we feel awkward asking for help. It's the same as asking for money. We don't want people to spend their time or spend their energy on us. But maybe we shouldn't. Maybe we should let them help us. This all brings to mind the generosity that I've experienced of my students. As three occasions that spring to mind. One student took me to his home and his family all came around the table. His wife had cooked an amazing meal for us. So generous and they spent a day with us. My computer was completely dead. kaput is a word
