The decision to withdraw the troops from mali was made in mid february by ma mao, who is the commander in chief. The french wanted to bring in european special forces to side them in their fight against e terrorist in malis. And the malan authorities said, look, you have to consult us first. So they banned the malian authorities the band military deployment from denmark that was supposed to help the french inmali. That was the key element that persuaded the french that a military intervention in money was not possible any more.
