The a Story, the Complimenting Factor
I was struck by the juxtaposition between the drive for freedom that these ranchers talked about and the way they talked about it. There's this complicating factor that makes the A story not as simple as you might think it might be. And I understand that look for freedom, even though I'm not a rancher,. Here's my relationship to freedom. But then the reality is that freedom comes at a cost. It comes at the expense of someone else's freedom. Period. You don't have to resolve that. You just have to say that. And then people can do whatever they want with it.
