Is the Energy Price Rise a Transitory Phenomenon?
I find, i think, in te argument that greater reliance on gas is the answer to gas shortages and gas price spikes. At the moment I am not entirely persuaded of that argument. The winner out of this current situation is nuclear energy which becomes more appealing as the greenest way of securing what you might call na base load supply. So but when renewables dip for various reasons, you would have nucleur to pick up. But we do have to get through this winter first. We need people to use a bit less gas electricity over the next three to four months. That's very difficut to do politically. It has shades of jimmy carter and the 19 79 eight, 19
