Alvin Bragg's Motivation to Set a Terrible Precedent
Alvin Bragg was the DA who attempted to bring the case against Jose. Alba, a Bodega owner who on video defended himself against an armed attacker and robber in his store. And when he did so, he was then thrown in rikers with a $500,000 bail,. even though everyone else violent crime and nonviolent crime just apparently just walks whenever right after they're charged $ 500,000 bond. The New York Post sort of led the way on that and said, what the heck is he doing here? That Jose, of course, a person of color, a business owner in the city. He ended up being the charges dropped.
