David Schmitz: The way we handle things at intersections for the most part are silly and frankly unjust rules. He says everyone is better off with stoplights than they are with the just system of whoever has the most ethically significant errand gets to go first. In a perfect world without transaction costs, he writes, someone who actually has great ethical need of hurry should not have to wait at a red light.
