Many high performing parents push their kids from a young age to seek high status rolls. If we raise our kids to define success by who they are ahead of, what we're going to end up with is an unhappy bully because there isn't enough to go around. The world doesn't do forced ranking of everyone all the time. In a connection economy, people who can weave a community around them are happier and more resilient.
