The Movie's Opening Sequence

Vakeman is our doorway into the movie sort of. They do a good job of saying like he doesn't understand what Ray and he got her saying. He's a bad scientist. And we don't need to either. But I'm I've always questioned where is his mindset on this going in because he doesn't seem to believe in ghosts. Even when he's presented with it, he's like okay. Like he just kind of goes along with whatever they say. The setup beat which is the next beat or theme stated depending. Sometimes people put them stated ahead but Blake Snyder does.
