The Thud Factor in Books
I think a lot of that with regard to the thud factor, as you called it, and a thicker book or a bigger book comes from oftentimes traditional publishers who think I believe this is my opinion. And so I look at that as making a book more valuable. In the world we live in, it's almost an absolute must with attention spans. We interviewed an author just a few weeks ago, Dr. Gloria Mark book called attention span. The average attention span, she said the science says it's about 45 seconds. But yeah, it's interest rather than volume that we're looking for.
