The Importance of Determinism

I think those theological doctrines are good reasons for accepting determinism or at least maybe being inclined. And then you have to consider whether that determinism is consistent with other things you want to hold like, you know, affirmations of freedom and what responsibility. So that's where it gets tricky. I would agree with something that Taylor said: These strong conceptions of providence require that there be something in God which is the source of all that happens.
