Isaac Bacchus: The Most Important Baptist in Colonial New England
Isaac Bacchus was probably the most important Baptist in colonial New England. He's not often included in the Mount Rushmore of the founding fathers, if there were such a thing. His life story is typical of what happened in New England in the 18th century. Many who came to faith during the Great Awakening were unhappy with the religion they grew up with.
