The Mithraema Caribereth
Mithraema caribereth was built around 200 AD and it was in use probably for about 150 years so taking it into the early mid-4th century. It sits on a watershed almost where a small stream called a meggy's Dean Byrne rises nearby and then flows south down into the Southtown Valley. So it's got this strange combination of seclusion but also magnificent views away to the south. When you stand there there is a real atmosphere. I'm not a supertitious person at all but it's a wonderful place to stand and contemplate what Mithraism was all about.
