The Importance of Repetition in Contemplation Prayer

In the lecture Divina techniques, which involve reading a passage of short passage of scripture and you read it over and over slowly until a word or phrase jumps out. And this word or phrase is jumping out at you because there's some kind of meaning there that God has for you. Then you're supposed to think about that word or phrase and that kind of becomes the thing in your mind that you can repeat in your mind. It's very subjective. Yes, it's private meaning of scripture. But then you do this other little lecture Divina thing for the experience of really getting closer to God. See, yes, other extra or maybe not extra because they think it's really important.
