There are six kinds of grit. If you're interested in peak performance, they all have to be trained independently in the beginning. Once you get your intrinsic motivator lined up and your goal's dialed in, that alone will start producing more flow in your life. You've got 360 degree creativity, which is my definition of what is mastery. It's the ability to be creative in 360 degrees off the thing that you're trying to be a master at. We can't train grit effectively until people are starting to get more flow in their lives because it's just miserable to train grit.
