Ted Chiang: A Chinese American Sci-Fi Writer
I know Ted Chiang is popular with Chinese sci-fi readers in China. I think it just helps that for Chinese readers, he has a Chinese name. There's no such thing as a British diaspora. There's just British expats. But you can't blame Chinese readers or publishers for being interested in publishing Chinese diaspora writers back into Chinese. It's an obvious seems almost obvious. And there's another Chinese American sci-fi writer whose name this is terrible. He is the guy that wrote the story that the movie arrival is based on dead chiang. That's embarrassing because I've actually read one of his books.
