Grief is a huge stressor. And we see, you know, blood pressure and cortisol, our stress hormone goes up. But what's so interesting is that when we've done these neuro imaging studies it focuses us a little bit differently in the following way: We first have to think about love and bonding with your baby or falling in love with someone else. It gets encoded in the brain as this specific person is very deeply encoded into its DNA.
