The Feud Between Sorokan and Parsons
Sorokan was Russian sociologist who was invited to shore up the sociology department. He and Parsons have several sort of little feuds that you describe wonderfully in your book. And, and Parsons was immediately frustrated because Sorokan was less interested in the newer theories of Durkheim and Weber. Certainly no interest in Freud. So they started fighting and, and a huge fights until finally Paul Buck, you know, engineered that Sorokan would, would step down and Parsons would, would replace him as the first in sociology.
