Insects Are at the Heart of Every Food Chain
Insect pollinators are needed for 75% of all the world's food crops. Insect populations have decreased dramatically and that has been at least in part a cause of the rest of the ecosystems collapsing as well. It takes millions of years for insect populations to recuperate after those mass extinction events.
